Readings for the Season of Advent 2020

When I became a Christian while in college  I wanted to find a way to make Christmas to be not just about good food and presents.  I wanted to add Jesus into my Christmas celebration.  That is when a good friend introduced me to "Advent Readings".  Doing these readings transformed my Christmas season and awareness.   I have done readings like these every year since that date! Advent  means a “coming”.  The goal of these readings to look at the whole Christmas story. It actually begins in the Old Testament with some prophecy about Jesus and then goes to the New Testament and looks at the events of Christmas and Jesus’ life. Advent always begins four Sundays before Christmas (Dec. 25th).
